Removal

WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: BACK DOOR GLASS: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat
belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Rear Wiper Motor/Removal
3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD See: Service and Repair/Disassembly
4. REMOVE BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH See: Service and Repair/Disassembly
5. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH See: Service and Repair/Disassembly
6. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH See: Service and Repair/Disassembly
7. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
8. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Rear Wiper Motor/Removal
9. REMOVE REAR SPOILER See: Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Spoiler/Service and Repair/Removal

10. REMOVE BACK WINDOW MOULDING LOWER

(a) Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:  Do not damage the body with the knife.

(b) Remove the remaining moulding.

11. REMOVE BACK WINDOW MOULDING OUTSIDE

(a) Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:  Do not damage the body with the knife.

(b) Remove the remaining moulding.

12. REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS

(a) Disconnect the rear window defogger connector.
