Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal

BRAKE CONTROL: YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) for Manual Seat:

Remove the front seat LH  See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly (for Manual Seat)/Removal.

(b) for Power Seat:

Remove the front seat LH  See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly (for Power Seat Type LH Side)/Removal.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
4. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and yaw rate sensor bracket.

5. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.

NOTE:  Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.
