Removal

2AR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE FRONT OIL SEAL: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER See: Water Pump/Service and Repair/Removal
2. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal
3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
5. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

6. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal
7. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Disassembly
8. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

(a) Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.

HINT:  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
NOTE:  Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole or the crankshaft.
