(i) Connect the mass air flow meter connector.

4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
5. PERFORM REGISTRATION

(a) When replacing the ECM, input the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) into the new ECM See: Powertrain Management/Computers and

Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

(b) When replacing the ECM, perform the vehicle stability control system recognition in the new ECM See: Cruise Control/Testing and

Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

6. RESET MEMORY

(a) When replacing the ECM, perform the RESET MEMORY procedure (A/T initialization).

(1) Check the vehicle type.
