Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat
belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly (for Manual

Seat)/Removal

3. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the occupant classification ECU.

(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the occupant classification ECU.
