Applicability

Introduction

Some 2009 model year RAV4 vehicles may exhibit a condition where the charging system warning light is "ON". This condition may be caused by a
malfunction in the alternator pulley clutch. The alternator pulley clutch has been updated to correct this condition. Use the following procedure to
diagnose and repair the alternator pulley clutch.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first,
from the vehicle's in-service date.
