Introduction
Some customers may complain of excessive sulfur odor on 2006 model year RAV4 vehicles under the following conditions:

Stop and go driving

Heavy acceleration
In order to reduce the sulfur odor, a new catalytic converter assembly has been made available. Follow the repair procedure to replace the catalytic
converter assembly.

Warranty Information
Applicable Warranty**:
This repair is covered under the Specific components of Toyota Federal Emission Control Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 96 months or 80,000
miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
For California specification vehicles sold, registered, and operated in California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont, this repair is covered under the
California Long-term Emission Defect Warranty. This warranty is in effect 84 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's
in-service date.
