Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection

1UR-FE FUEL: FUEL INJECTOR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(b) If the result is not as specified, replace the injector assembly.

(c) Inspect the injection volume.

CAUTION:
This test involves high-pressure fuel and electricity. Take all precautions regarding safe handling of both the fuel and the electricity.
Perform this test in a safe area, and avoid any sparks or flames. Do not smoke.

(1) Remove the fuel pipe clamp.

(2) Disconnect the fuel tube.

(3) Connect SST to the fuel pipe (the vehicle side).
