b. Using a screwdriver, remove the lower center pillar garnish.

HINT:  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

a. Never disassemble the front seat outer belt.

HINT:  When removing the retractor of front seat outer belt, take care not to pull the seat belt pretensioner wire harness.

b. Disconnect the connector.
c. Using a screwdriver, pull the locking button of the pretensioner connector to your side to release the lock.

HINT:  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

d. Remove the 3 bolts and the front seat outer belt assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

a. Install the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

a. Install the lower center pillar garnish.
b. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchor.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
4. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

a. Perform initialization.

NOTE:  Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
