PARASITIC DRAW MEASUREMENT

Models:
'05 - '06 Sequoia & Tundra D-Cab

Introduction 

This procedure is to assist with the diagnosis of the electrical system to ensure that the correct cause of excessive parasitic draw is identified.

NOTE:

The parasitic draw measurement will take a minimum of 120 minutes to properly allow the ECUs and the Intelligent Power Outlet (IPO/12V Power
Outlet) system to enter "sleep mode".

Applicable vehicles:
^

2005 - 2006 model year Sequoia and Tundra D-Cab vehicles equipped with the Intelligent Power Outlet (IPO/12V Power Outlet) system.

Preparation Procedure

1.

Loosen the negative (-) terminal of the battery cable so it becomes easier to remove from the negative (-) post of the battery later.

Do NOT remove the terminal completely. Make sure there is continuous electrical contact at all times.

2.

For vehicles with security system: Set the engine hood lock assembly to the "locked" position by using a screwdriver, etc.

Measurement Procedure

NOTE:

It will take a minimum of 120 minutes to properly allow the ECUs and the Intelligent Power Outlet (IPO/12V Power Outlet) system to enter
"sleep mode".
