NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 4 back door name plate.
4. REMOVE NO. 3 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE
(a) Apply protective tape to the back door panel in the area around the No. 3 back door name plate.
(b) Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 3 back door name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 3 back door name plate to the vehicle body.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 3 back door name plate.
5. REMOVE NO. 5 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE
(a) Apply protective tape to the back door panel in the area around the No. 5 back door name plate.
(b) Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 5 back door name plate.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 5 back door name plate to the vehicle body.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(e) Remove the No. 5 back door name plate.
Installation
EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: NAME PLATE: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL NO. 5 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE
(a) Clean the attachment surface.
(1) Using an infrared light, heat the double-sided adhesive tape remaining on the back door panel.
HINT: Heat at 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) for 1 to 2 minutes.
(2) Using a piece of cloth, rub the double-sided adhesive tape off the back door panel while it is hot from the infrared light.
NOTE: Installing the No. 5 back door name plate while any double-sided tape remains on the luggage compartment door panel may cause
adhesion failure. Therefore, completely remove the double-sided tape.
(3) Using a non-residue solvent, clean the attachment surface.
