BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE PEDAL: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Latch Release

5. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard

6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD INSERT See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

(a) Remove the bolt and air duct.

8. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

(a) Remove the clip and push rod pin from the brake pedal lever.

9. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY See: Lighting and Horns/Brake Light Switch/Service and Repair/Removal

10. REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

(a) Remove the stop light switch mounting adjuster.

11. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the brake pedal return spring.
(b) Remove the bolt from the No. 3 brake pedal bracket.

(c) Remove the bolt, nut and No. 3 brake pedal bracket from the brake pedal support.
