Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Removal

3UR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER See: Engine/Engine Lubrication/Engine Oil/Service and Repair/Replacement
2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

(a) Remove the 6 clips and fender apron seal.

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR RH

(a) Remove the 5 clips and fender apron seal.

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

(a) Remove the 6 clips and fender apron seal.

5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL REAR LH

(a) Remove the 5 clips and fender apron seal.

6. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE See: Starting and Charging/Starting System/Starter Motor/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

7. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT HEAT INSULATOR (for 4WD) See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Propeller Shaft Assembly/Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Propeller Shaft Assembly/Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts from the center exhaust pipe.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the front No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
(c) Disconnect the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly and from exhaust pipe support.
(d) Remove the 2 gaskets.
(e) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
(f) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

(g) Remove the 3 nuts, No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly and gasket.

10. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector and 2 clamps.
