Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Testing and Inspection

3UR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: MASS AIR FLOW METER: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK MASS AIR FLOW METER
(a) Check the mass air flow value.
(1) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(3) Techstream main switch on.
(4) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data / MAF.
(5) Blow air into the MAF meter, and check that the MAF value fluctuates.
If the result is not as specified, check the MAF meter See: Inspection, or wiring and ECM See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing
and Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/P Code Charts/P0102.
