Removal

JF3A TRANSFER / 4WD / AWD: 4WD CONTROL ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

(a) Remove the front door scuff plate RH ( See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal).
HINT:  Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

(a) Remove the front door scuff plate RH ( See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal).
HINT:  Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard

/ Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE 4WD CONTROL ECU

(a) Disconnect the 2 4WD control ECU connectors.
(b) Remove the bolt and 4WD control ECU.
