Installation

AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR AXLE CARRIER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

HINT:
-

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Apply MP grease to a new O-ring.

(b) Install the new O-ring to the rear axle hub and bearing.

NOTE:  Do not damage the O-ring.

(c) Install the axle hub and bearing to the rear axle carrier with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 86 Nm (877 kgf-cm, 64 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB DUST SEAL LH

(a) Using SST and hammer, install the rear axle hub dust seal RH to the rear axle carrier.

3. INSTALL REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY
