(a) Clean any metal powder off the serrated part of the wiper arm with a round wire brush or the equivalent (when reinstalling).
(b) Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.
(c) Operate the wiper, and then stop the wiper motor in the automatic stop position.

(d) Align the blade tip with the mark on the glass, as shown in the illustration.

HINT:  Hold down the wiper arm hinge with your hand while tightening the nut.

(e) Tighten the nut on the front wiper arm and blade.

Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(f) Operate the front wipers while spraying washer fluid on the windshield glass. Make sure that the front wipers function properly and there is no

interference with the vehicle body.
