Seat Heater System:

Repair Procedure

NOTE:

This procedure will need to be performed on both driver and passenger seat heater systems.

1.

Confirm the Customer's Concern.

A.

Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

B.

Turn the seat heater temperature control to the fourth position. (Do not set temperature control to the "high" position.)

a.

The seat bottom should be above 90°F (32°C) in three minutes. If the seat back and bottom do not warm up in the specified time,
continue with this repair.

2.

Remove the Seat Assembly.

CAUTION:

Work MUST be started more than 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal cable is
disconnected from the battery. (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source. If work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting the
negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.)

A.

Remove the headrest.

B.

Using a screwdriver, pry out the 2 seat track covers.
