Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Disconnect the connectors under the seat.

Remove the 4 bolts.

Lay the seat on its back side, exposing the underside of the cushion.

Heater Element Inspection.

A.

Locate the seat heater ECU on the underside of the seat cushion.

HINT:

The seat heater ECU is a 40 x 35 mm (1.57 x 1.38 inch) black box with two connectors.

B.

Remove the green connector from the ECU.

C.

Check the seat heater resistance.

HINT:

The seat heater schematic is provided at the end of this document.

D.

If the result is as specified above, skip to step 4, "Pin Location Correction."

E.

Inspect the front seat cushion heater assembly.

Check the seat cushion heater resistance.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat cushion heater assembly.

Inspect the front seatback heater assembly.
