Information Bus: Testing and Inspection

With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

Using hand-held tester:

CHECK DTC

a. Prepare the hand-held tester.
b. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
c. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main switch ON.
d. Use the hand-held tester to check the DTCs, note them down (For opening instructions, see the hand-held tester's instruction book.).
e. See Trouble Code Descriptions to confirm the details of the DTCs.

With Generic Scan Tool

TOYOTA does not provide a procedure for Reading Trouble Codes With Generic Scan Tool.

Without Scan Tool

TOYOTA does not provide a procedure for Reading Trouble Codes Without a Scan Tool.

With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

CLEAR DTC

Using hand-held tester:

DTC will be cleared when the malfunction output to DTC is recovered normally.

With Generic Scan Tool

TOYOTA does not provide a procedure for Clearing Trouble Codes With Generic Scan Tool.

Without Scan Tool

TOYOTA does not provide a procedure for Clearing Trouble Codes Without a Scan Tool.
