Confirm source of gear oil/transmission fluid leak is from vent on RH bearing retainer. (Refer to illustration)

Remove the engine assembly with transaxle. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS):

Remove the transfer case No. 1 plug and remove the gasket from the plug.
