Evaporator Case: Service and Repair
Rear A/C Evaporator

REMOVAL

1. 4-Door Models:

REMOVE EVAPORATOR
a. Remove the rear A/C unit.

b. Remove the liquid and suction tubes.

1. Remove the 3 screws and bracket.
2. Remove the 2 screws and clamp.
3. Loosen the 2 nuts and remove the both tubes.
Torque:
Liquid tube: 14 N.m (140 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
Suction tube: 32 N.m (330 kgf.cm, 24 ft.lbf)

NOTE:  Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

HINT:  At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.
Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.

c. Remove the air duct.

Remove the 2 screws and duct.

d. Remove the evaporator.

1. Remove the 14 screws and holding spring.
2. Release the claw and separate the cooling unit cases.
3. Remove the evaporation
