5.

Tighten the Lock Nut using SST (09922-10010) and a Torque Wrench.

Torque:
50 N.m (513 kgf.cm, 37 ft.lbf)

NOTICE: 

Use SST 09922-10010 in the direction shown in the illustration.

IMPORTANT: 

To obtain the correct torque when using SST 09922-10010, use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 345 mm (13.58 in.).

Confirm total preload to ensure it is within specification.

Preload (turning):
0.8-1.4 N.m (8-14 kgf.cm, 6.9-12.2 in.lbf)

Reinstall Power Steering Gear As Described In Repair Manual (See page SR-50.)

NOTE: 

Confirm that the power steering fluid level is full.

Check Vehicle Alignment (toe only)
Set toe to specification in the Repair Manual (See page SA-4).

5.

Road Test Vehicle.
