Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
YAW RATE SENSOR
REPLACEMENT
NOTICE:
^
Do not use the yaw rate sensor if it is dropped or damaged.
^
Prevent foreign matter from attaching between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body.
^
Confirm the sensor direction is correct.
1. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY
2. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY REAR
3. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.
4. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
b. Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.
5. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSY REAR
6. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY
7. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION See: Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/ABS W/EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC System/Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate and
Deceleration Sensors
8. INSPECT ABS WARNING LIGHT AND VSC WARNING LIGHT
