Fuel Gauge Sender: Service and Repair
Removal

3MZ-FE FUEL: FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY:

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE  (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service Precautions/Fuel System

Precautions)

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  (See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization).

3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Coupe)  (See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear

Seat Assembly/Removal)

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Convertible) (See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Rear Seat Assembly/Removal)

5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and

6. SEPARATE FUEL PUMP TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and

7. REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT TUBE SET PLATE (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pump/Service and
