Solara Coupe V6-3.3L (3MZ-FE) (2008)
NOTICE:
-
The systems (ECUs, sensors) that adopt CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle and option settings. Check which systems
(ECUs, sensors) are installed on the vehicle.
-
Non-installed ECUs or sensors are not displayed. Do not mistake them for being in the communication stop mode.
-
Techstream and the tester display are affected by signals output from other ECUs which have an open circuit in either of their CAN branch
wires.
B -- GO TO "COMMUNICATION STOP MODE TABLE".
C -- GO TO "OPEN IN ONE SIDE OF CAN BRANCH WIRE".
A -- Continue to next step.
9. DTC COMBINATION TABLE
(a) Confirm trouble according to the combination of output DTCs regarding the CAN communication system (See: Diagnosis System).
HINT:
-
Sometimes CAN communication system DTCs are output, but all the ECUs and sensors connected to the CAN communication system are
displayed on Techstream. In this case, previous or history DTCs may indicate the cause of the problem.
-
ECUs related to a problem in the CAN bus will store DTCs to indicate communication malfunctions. The communication stop mode in the
CAN bus can be determined by comparing the combination of DTCs that have been set. Refer to the DTC combination table for the CAN
bus.

CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM:
DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
1. DTC COMBINATION TABLE
NOTE: Complete "HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING" (See: How to Proceed With Troubleshooting) to confirm that there
is no disconnection in the CAN main bus lines and there is no short circuit, short to +B, or short to ground in the CAN bus lines. Then perform
troubleshooting according to the DTC combination table.
(a) Confirm the trouble mode according to the combination of output DTCs.
HINT:
-
U0073/94, U0100/65, U0123/62, U0123/63, and U0124/95 are the DTCs in the CAN communication system.
-
The above table shows combinations of these DTCs.
-
o..DTCs that are being output.
-
-..DTCs that are not being output.
(b) Confirm the trouble mode by referring to the above table. Then check the parts to be replaced and information to proceed to, by referring to the
table below.
