Solenoid Relay Continuity Check

Solenoid Relay Operation Check

1.

Remove pump motor relay from the actuator.

2.

Inspect pump motor relay continuity.

a. Check for continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
b. Check for no continuity between terminals 3 and 4 and terminals 1 and 4.

3.

Inspect pump motor relay operation.

a. Apply 12.0 volts to terminals 1 and 2.
b. Check for continuity between terminals 3 and 4.
c. Check for no continuity between terminals 1 and 4.

NOTE: If relay fails to operate as specified, replace the relay.

4.

Remove solenoid relay from the actuator.

5.

Inspect solenoid relay continuity.
