Using suitable jack, raise No. 2 suspension arm, Fig. 10, until horizontal.

Insert outboard end of axle shaft in axle hub, then install inboard end on side gear shaft flange and temporarily install axle shaft-to-side gear flange
attaching washers and nuts.

4.

Install axle shaft locknut, then while an assistant depresses brake pedal, torque locknut to 200 ft. lbs. Install locknut cap and cotter pin.

5.

While an assistant depresses brake pedal, torque six axle shaft-to-side gear flange attaching nuts to 50 ft. lbs.

6.

Install wheel and tire assembly, then lower vehicle.
