Front Speed Sensor Components

REMOVAL 

Disconnecting Speed Sensor Connector

1. Disconnect Speed Sensor connector.

(a) Remove the front fender splash shield.
(b) Disconnect the Speed Sensor connector.

2. Remove Speed Sensor.

(a) Remove the 3 clamp bolts holding the sensor harness to the body and upper suspension arm.  
(b) Remove the Speed Sensor from the Steering Knuckle. 

Removing 0-Ring From Speed Sensor

(c) Remove the O-ring from the Speed Sensor.

INSTALLATION

Reverse removal procedure to install, noting the following:
-

Torque clamp bolts to 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.)

-

Torque sensor to steering knuckle bolts to 7.8 Nm (69 inch lbs.) 

-

After installation, check Speed Sensor signal.
