Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the Speed Sensor connector.

(a) Remove the rear seat cushion and seat back.
(b) Remove the quarter trim panel.

Disconnecting Speed Sensor Connector

(c) Disconnect the Speed Sensor connector, and pull out the sensor wire harness with the grommet.

2. Remove Speed Sensor.

Removing Nut Holding Sensor Wire Harness To Body

(a) Remove the nut holding the wire harness to the body.
(b) Remove the clamp from the upper arm.
(c) Remove the Speed Sensor from the Axle Carrier. 

INSTALLATION

Reverse removal procedure to install, noting the following:
-

Torque clamp bolts to 5.4 Nm (48 inch lbs.)

-

Torque sensor to axle carrier bolts to 7.8 Nm (69 inch lbs.) 

-

After installation, check Speed Sensor signal.
