NOTE: Align the bolt so that a line drawn between the rod and the bolt would be 90° to the direction of the lower bushing.
d. Remove the SST.
NOTE: After removing the SST, again check the direction of the suspension support.
Inspection
INSPECTION
Inspect shock absorber. Compress and extend the shock absorber rod and check that there is no abnormal resistance or unusual operation sounds. If there
is any abnormality, replace the shock absorber with a new one.
Bushing Replacement
BUSHING REPLACEMENT
1. Remove bushing. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09710 - 14013 (09710 - 00021) or equivalent, and a deep socket wrench, remove the bushing.
2. Install new bushing. Using SST 09710 - 14013 (09710 - 00021) or equivalent, and a deep socket wrench, install a new bushing.
NOTICE: Do not apply grease or oil to the bushing.
