4. Remove strut rod. 

Remove the two bolts, nuts and strut rod.
Torque: 184 Nm (134 ft. lbs.).  

HINT:  At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolts. 

5. Remove lower suspension arm No. 1.

a. Remove the nut.

Torque: 59 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).

b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09610-20012 or equivalent, disconnect the lower suspension arm No. 1 from the rear axle carrier.   

NOTICE:  Be careful not to damage the dust boot. 

c. Remove the bolt and disconnect the parking brake cable bracket.

Torque: 19 Nm (14 ft. lbs.) 

d. Place matchmarks on the adjusting cam and subframe.
e. Remove the nut, washer, adjusting cam plate No. 1 and adjusting cam No. 1.

Torque: 184 Nm (134 ft. lbs.).   

HINT:  At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the nut.

Remove the lower suspension arm No. 1.

6. Remove lower suspension arm No. 2.
