a. Turn the ring and push it in to check the braking action.
b. Measure the clearance between the synchronizer ring back and the input shaft spline end.
Standard clearance: 1.05-1.85 mm (0.0413-0.0728 inch)
Minimum clearance: 0.80 mm (0.0315 inch).
If the clearance is less than the minimum, replace the synchronizer ring.
ASSEMBLY
1. Install oil seal rings Install the two oil seal rings.
NOTE:

Apply gear oil to the oil seal ring.

Hang securely to eliminate clearance.
