Remove balance shaft drive gear with shaft, lift off chain, slide sprocket off crankshaft.
5.
Remove No. 4 balance shaft timing chain dampener.
6.
Remove thrust plate retainer bolts, then slide the No. 1 and No. 2 balance shaft from the block.
7.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Fit balance shaft timing chain to crankshaft and balance shaft with sprocket, align match links and marks on sprockets, Fig. 23.
