Ignition Cable: Service and Repair

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) METER ASSEMBLY.

-

Disconnect the MAF meter connector and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor connector.

-

Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose from the intake air connector.

-

Remove the air cleaner cap and MAF meter assembly.

2. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR.

-

Disconnect these hoses from the intake air connector:
-

No.3 air hose from Idle Speed Controller (ISC) valve

-

with A/C: A/C air hose from A/C idle-up valve. 

-

Remove the 2 bolts.

-

Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the intake air connector from the throttle body.

3. WITH A/C: REMOVE A/C IDLE-UP VALVE.

-

Disconnect the A/C idle-up valve connector.

-

Disconnect the air hose from the air intake chamber.

-

Remove the bolt and A/C idle-up valve.

4. DISCONNECT HIGH-TENSION CORDS FROM SPARK PLUGS.

-

Disconnect the high - tension cords at the rubber boot.
DO NOT pull on the cords.
