Mass Air Flow Meter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) METER.

-

Disconnect the MAF meter connector, Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector and wire clamp.

-

Loosen the air cleaner hose clamp.

-

Loosen the 4 clips, and remove the air cleaner cap and MAF meter.

2. REMOVE MAF METER FROM AIR CLEANER CAP.

-

Remove the 4 nuts, MAF meter and gasket.

-

Remove the IAT sensor from air cleaner cap.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL MAF METER TO AIR CLEANER CAP.

-

Install the IAT sensor to the air cleaner cap.
