Impact Sensor: Service and Repair
Front Airbag Sensor

1. Disarm SRS as outlined under Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.
2. Remove battery and air cleaner assembly, Fig. 55.

3. Disconnect sensor electrical connectors.
4. Loosen sensor mounting screws with suitable Torx wrench and remove sensor.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

a. Ensure sensor arrow points toward vehicle front.
b. Tighten mounting screws to specifications.
c. Shake sensor and ensure there is no looseness.
d. Lock electrical connection check mechanism securely or diagnosis circuit may generate diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
