Start Injector Time Switch: Description and Operation
PURPOSE
The Start Injector Time Switch controls the Cold Start Injector which adds additional fuel into the intake air chamber to enrich the fuel mixture
during low temperature cranking.
OPERATION
Cold Start Injector operation is controlled by the Start Injector Time Switch. At low coolant temperatures the Start Injector Time Switch supplies a
ground for the Cold Start Injector and during cranking fuel is sprayed into the intake air chamber. To avoid engine flooding, operation is typically
less than 10 seconds.
