Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: Before disconnecting battery ground, access trouble codes and radio presets. Control unit memory is erased when ground is removed.

1. Remove negative terminal cable from battery.
2. Disconnect resonator bracket.
3. Disconnect hoses and electrical connector.

4. Remove air cleaner cap and remove Air Flow Meter from cap.

Remove the bolt, two screws and bracket.

Pry off the lock plate and remove the four nuts and washers, lock plate, and Volume Air Flow Meter.

ASSEMBLY

1. Install the Volume Air Flow Meter to the air cleaner cap.

Install the gasket, lock plate and four nuts and washers.

Install the bracket and bolt and two screws.

2. Install the air cleaner cap and secure.
3. Install hoses and the electrical connector.
4. Install the resonator bracket and secure.
5. Reconnect the negative terminal cable at the battery.
