Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection
Lower
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Ensure front wheels are in straight ahead position and depress and hold brake pedal to eliminate wheel bearing play.
3.
Move lower control arm up and down and check that lower ball joint play does not exceed 0 inch. If ball joint has play, replace ball joint.
