Diagnostic trouble codes can be retrieved using the Toyota Hand-Held Diagnostic Tester. The tester can be hooked up directly to the data link connector
(DLC), Fig. 24. ECU data may then be monitored by following prompts on the tester screen.
Clearing Trouble Codes
1. After repairs are complete, with ignition switch Off, remove DOME or ECU-B fuse for 10 or more seconds.
2. Install fuse, ensure normal code is output.
