b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09628-62011 or equivalent, disconnect the pitman arm from the gear assembly.

5. Disconnect pressure feed tube and return tube. 

Using SST 09631-22020 or equivalent, disconnect the tube.

6. Disconnect intermediate shaft assembly.
7. Remove power steering gear assembly. 

Remove the three bolts, nuts and washers.

INSTALLATION

1. Install power steering gear assembly. 

Install the three bolts, washers and nuts.  
Torque: 142 Nm (105 ft. lbs.).

2. Connect intermediate shaft assembly.

3. Connect pressure feed tube and return tube. 

Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09631-22020 or equivalent, connect the pressure feed tube and return tube.   
Torque: 36 Nm (26 ft. lbs.). 

HINT: 

-

Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch).

This torque value is effective in case that SST is parallel to a torque wrench.

4. Connect pitman arm sub-assembly with relay rod.
