b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09630-00014 (09631-00051) or equivalent, remove the No. 1 lock nut.  
c. Using a screwdriver, adjust the adjusting screw for the correct thrust clearance.
d. Tighten a new lock nut.
e. Stake the lock nut.

4. If necessary, replace two needle roller bearings.

a. Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal from the gear housing.
b. Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring from the gear housing.
c. Remove the metal spacer, teflon ring and O-ring from the gear housing.

d. Using SST 09612-65014 (09612-01030) or equivalent, remove the bearing from the gear housing.

e. Using SST 09950-60010 (09951-00360, 09951-00420, 09952-06010), 09950-70010 (09951-07200) or equivalents, press out the bearing from

the gear housing.

f.

Coat a new bearing with molybdenum disulfide lithium base grease.
