8. Connect positive lead from voltmeter to terminal 2 and negative lead to terminal 1. Ensure voltage rises between terminals 1 and 2 as the float is
moved from top to bottom position.
9. Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2 for each float position. Resistance should be as follows:
a. Full position: about 3.0 ohms.
b. Half position: about 32.5 ohms.
c. Empty position: about 110.0 ohms.
d. If resistance is not as specified, replace sender gauge.
