1. Remove free wheel hub cover.
a. Set the control handle to FREE.
b. Remove the 6 cover mounting bolts and pull off the cover.
Torque to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
Installation Hint: Before install the hub cover, apply MP grease to the clutch splines.
c. Remove the gasket.
2. Remove bolt with washer.
Torque: 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs)
3. Remove free wheel hub body.
a. Remove the 6 mounting nuts and washers.
Torque to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.)
b. Using a brass bar and a hammer, tap on the bolts head and remove the cone washers.
c. Pull off the free wheel hub body.
d. Remove the gasket.
INSPECTION
1. Inspect cover, handle and seal. Check the handle moves smoothly.
2. Inspect inner hub. Place the cover in the body and check that the inner hub turns smoothly.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
