3.

Pull the glove compartment door assembly toward the rear of the vehicle to release the 3 hinges and remove the glove compartment door
assembly.

4.

Remove the glove compartment dampener from the instrument panel.

Installation

1.

Pull the bottom of the dampener out until the clip hole is visible.

2.

Insert the tip of a Stubby flat-blade screwdriver into the clip hole to prevent the piston of the dampener from retracting.

NOTE

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3.

Attach the dampener to the instrument panel at the hole labeled "A" as shown in Figure 5.

4.

Attach the dampener to the glove compartment door as shown in Figure 5.

Always pull out the plunger and lock it in the extended position before installation

Do not install the dampener to the instrument panel and then pull out the plunger. This will cause the pin on the instrument panel to become
weak or break

5.

Remove the screwdriver from the dampener.
