3. Mark the center of each drain vent on the bottom of the weatherstrip.

HINT

Find the notch above the drain vent and use for the centerline.

4. Insert a body filler spreader or similar plastic tool at least 30 mm (1.18 in.) wide between the weatherstrip and body at the drain vent location.

5. Cut out a notch in the weatherstrip with a razor or knife following the marked lines in Figure 4. Repeat this for both drain locations.

NOTICE

Ensure the razor or knife does NOT cut into the body.

6. Confirm repair by water testing the drain channel and observing adequate water flow from the drain.
