To eliminate a "ticking" noise in the cabin of the vehicle in cold temperatures (below 0°F), the hardness of the Vacuum Switching Valve Mount has been
changed.

New parts can be identified by a "4" on the side of the rubber mount.

Repair Procedure

Replace VSV No. 1 with part manufactured after countermeasure.

This repair is covered under the Toyota Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the
vehicle's in-service date.
