Air Conditioning Switch: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT A/C INDICATOR OPERATION

a. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4.
b. Push the A/C button in and then check that the indicator lights up.

If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

2. INSPECT DIMMING OPERATION

a. Connect positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 and negative (-) lead to terminal 4 and 1.
b. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and then check that the indicator dims.

If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.

3. INSPECT A/C SWITCH CONTINUITY

If operation is not as specified, replace the switch or test the bulb.
