Malfunction Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation

1. The MIL turns on when the ignition switch is turned to ON (do not start the engine).
HINT: If the MIL is not illuminated, troubleshoot the combination meter.
2. When the engine is started, the MIL should turn off.If the lamp remains on, the diagnosis system has detected a malfunction or abnormality in the
system.
